We believe that every customer has a right to expect good service, each and every time contact is made with us. To ensure this, we have agreed a set of service standards with our Repairer/Dealer network that governs the way they do business with you, the customer.

These service standards apply to both the sales and after sales experience and we actively monitor their delivery. They are intended to provide a consistent, professionally handled response whenever you are in contact with anyone who represents Leisure Warranties.

Q. Does my Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan or RV have a manufacturer’s warranty?

A. Most caravans, motorhomes, campervans & RV’s  have a 1, 2 or even 3 year manufacturer’s electrical and mechanical warranty. The three fixed appliances: heating, cooking & refridgeration unit are normally covered ONLY by the manufacturers 12 month warranty. In addition to this most caravans, motorhomes, campervans & RV’s come with a 5 year and in some cases a 10 year body shell warranty, ALL warranties applicable from the original date of purchase. The warranty is dependent upon complying with the terms and conditions of the policy, particularly the regular annual servicing of the product. Should ownership of the caravan, motorhome, campervan or RV change, such change(s) must be registered directly with the manufacturer within a very specific time-scale. For full details you should check the warranty conditions contained within the owners’ Service and Warranty Handbook.

Q. Does my Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan or RV need to be serviced every year?

A. In order to protect your investment and to maintain the original manufacturer’s warranty policy, or purchase one of our warranty policies, you must have your caravan, motorhome, campervan or RV serviced annually. We strongly recommend that you continue to have your vehicle professionally serviced, even after any warranty policy has expired.

Q. I am having trouble booking my vehicle in for its service, in line with the requirements, what timescale is acceptable?

A. For each annual service, we state that the vehicle must be serviced within or before 28 days of the anniversary of the original date of purchase of the warranty policy.

Q. Who can service my Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan or RV?

A. We would always recommend that the product is serviced by a recognised and accredited Leisure Warranties Engineer/Repairer. However, we will accept services completed by a VAT registered, NCC approved workshop/dealership to a pre-specified standard.

Q. Who can carry out warranty work on my Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan or RV?

A. We at Leisure warranties will authorise the Repairer/Dealer/Workshop to carry out any work required. It is at the discretion of Leisure Warranties, whether they engage the services of any other independent Repairer/Dealer/Workshop.

Q. Can I extend and/or upgrade the warranty of my Caravan, Motorhome, Campervan or RV?

A. Yes, the warranty can be extended. This is very simple and easy to do, either contact your original introducing Repairer/Dealer/Workshop or contact us directly.

Q. Is the warranty transferable to new owners?

A. The benefit of our warranties is that they may be transferred to a new owner if the caravan is re-sold, providing the terms and conditions have been adhered to, particularly the annual servicing. An Administration Fee is applicable. Further details are available direct from Leisure Warranties.
